Just shockingly bad

In a world where it seems that almost every Apple product has a supernatural ability to connect and work right out of the box, there is no excuse for something this astoundingly poor. I could not get the program to take dictation at all on my laptop, even when using a microphone. So, I was happy that they offered this external application. However, after spending two hours trying everything, including what many other suggested in comments on websites, I could not get this to work. It repeatedly told me to press a certain button, but that button did nothing. I tried many different IP addresses. It would not recognize my computer at all. This is really all just very basic stuff, and the same problems have been reported to the company for at least two years. It is completely unacceptable that they continue to offer such a shocking the shotty piece of software without the slightest attempt to upgrade it or provide suitable information to people who want to use it. Incidentally, I dictated this entire review using my iPhone, and it seems to work better than this quite expensive product that is designed to do exactly that.
