I wish a better alternative existed

I had problems using the app on DragonDictate 3 because the app would not recognize my computer. Since upgrading to DragonDictate 4 (last week), the app fails to recognize my computer greater than 70% of the time.

It is very frustrating, requiring reboots of both the iOS app and the OS X app.

Without an update since 2012, this appears to be orphanware. I hate that this would happen from a company such as Nuance.

I sometimes use a quality third-party app to record dictations and upload them for transcription. But Im unaware of alternative app that will allow dictation directly into DragonDictate for Mac.
